Do your own fundraiser
Plan a party, begin a bake-off or a hold a sponsored hike. Whatever you enjoy doing, or challenge you want to set, you can do it AND help save lives from suicide.
Doing your own fundraiser can be incredibly rewarding, great fun and an excuse to bring your communities together.
Ideas and inspiration
We have lots of ideas and inspiration to help you have fun and raise money at work, online or in the community. No matter how much time you have, what your abilities or hobbies are, what you like to do or where you live, we have an idea for you.
Start your fundraising journey today.
Simply head over to justgiving.com where you can select Grassroots Suicide Prevention to support.
If you’re doing a challenge event you can select it from the list, otherwise you can build your own page.
Don’t forget to add a profile picture, tell people your story and tell them how their donations will help.
As a Grassroots Suicide Prevention fundraiser, you can use our ‘in support of’ logo (available in the Fundraising Hub) to help promote your event or challenge.
Please contact the team to get access to the Fundraising Hub which contains our logo and many other resources.
You can pay in the money you have raised directly through our website, using this link. If you have set up a JustGiving or GoFundMe page, the money you have raised will be automatically transferred to us.
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can make your donation go further by ticking the Gift Aid declaration.
This means Grassroots Suicide Prevention will receive 25p more for every £1 you donate – at no extra cost to you.
Once we have received confirmation of your fundraiser or you are registered for a challenge event, please allow 2 weeks to receive your Team Grassroots kit.
If you sign-up for a big challenge event like Brighton Marathon Weekend, we will send your running vest a month in advance.
We will try to send someone from our team to attend and/or speak at your event. Unfortunately, depending on our other commitments and where you’re based geographically, it isn’t always possible but there are many solutions like joining you virtually instead.
Please get in touch with the Fundraising team and we’ll see what we can do.
