Find bereavement support

We understand that losing someone you love can be devastating, and even more complex with suicide. Please take the time to find the support you may need.

We have lived experience of suicide. This lived experience can be found on all levels of our charity, from volunteers through to staff and trustees, and it is a golden thread which drives us to make a difference. We understand the complex emotions like shock and intense grief after a suicide.

If you or someone you know are struggling to navigate your grief, please seek some support.

Thoughts of suicide

Sometimes people bereaved by suicide experience suicidal thoughts themselves. With support, these feelings can pass.

Our Stay Alive app is a suicide prevention resource full of tools and resources to help people stay safe from suicide. It can be used by someone thinking about suicide or those worried about someone else. It is free to download from Google Play and the App Store, or can be accessed online.

Create a tribute page

An online tribute page is a long-lasting place for you, your family, your friends and your community to remember a loved one.

More information

We have teamed up with MuchLoved, an online tribute charity who help the bereaved work through their grief by creating personal tribute pages, enabling people to share their feelings and memories.

Tribute pages are free, online spaces where you can commemorate, celebrate, or simply remember someone you love with messages, photos and videos. It’s quick and easy to set up, and you can keep the page online for as long as you wish. Any donations made through tribute pages will support our livesaving work.

A tribute page also has the optional feature to add a funeral notice, allowing you to share memorial details with family and friends.

More information

You may find it helpful to share a precious photo, thought, or memory about the person you lost on our dedication page, where they will always be remembered.

You can do this as many times as you wish, on anniversaries or when you need to share your feelings. This can be a helpful way to keep the memory of your loved one alive.

If you wish, you can also donate in your loved one’s name.
