Martin Searle Solicitors is proudly supporting Grassroots Suicide Prevention to ensure more lives are saved from suicide.
Martin Searle Solicitors have supported Grassroots Suicide Prevention through fundraising, awareness-raising and community engagement since 2024, helping us continue delivering life-saving suicide prevention training, support and resources.
Their involvement reflects a wider commitment to social impact as a campaigning law firm, with a strong focus on equality and diversity, including campaigning against workplace discrimination and providing pro bono legal support to charities and not-for-profit organisations.
We believe actions speak louder than words, and it is important to support causes that are important to both our staff and clients.
In September 2024, Martin Searle Solicitors hosted their first Dawn of Hope sponsored sunrise walk in support of Grassroots Suicide Prevention.
The initiative was led by Amy O’Shea, who lost her mother to suicide in 2019. Drawing on her lived experience, Amy wanted to create a space that encourages open and honest conversations around mental health, helping others feel less alone in their grief and struggles.
The walk brought people together at sunrise to raise awareness of suicide prevention, honour those we have lost to suicide, and stand alongside those experiencing difficulties with their mental health.
Following the success and impact of the first event, Martin Searle Solicitors continued their support in 2025 with a second Dawn of Hope walk, further strengthening their commitment to community wellbeing and suicide prevention awareness.
Together, the two events have raised over £4,000, helping us to continue delivering life-saving training, campaigning, and support for those who need it most.
In December 2025, the team at Martin Searle Solicitors chose to support Grassroots Suicide Prevention rather than send Christmas cards, and marked the festive season with two wonderful workplace initiatives.
They set up a Wall of Hope in the office, where staff pinned uplifting messages alongside their donations, a simple but lovely way to spread some positivity and lift spirits during the holiday period.
They also introduced a Hope Jar, where colleagues dropped in positive notes and affirmations throughout December, each paired with a small donation.
Their thoughtful support has helped us continue working towards a world where fewer lives are lost to suicide and more people feel able to reach out for help when they need it most.
We’re incredibly grateful for their continued commitment, and for the creativity and care they brought to their fundraising. Together, we can help save lives and bring hope to more people across our communities.
If you’re interested in getting involved, we’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s a small initiative or a longer-term partnership, get in touch with our team to explore how we can work together.
