HODD Live at The Angel

Join Stephen William Hodd, now known under the moniker HODD, for an unforgettable evening that promises a tapestry of indie-folk, rock, and soul-stirring songwriting. After making waves with his full name, Stephen is ready to turn the page and write a new chapter of his musical journey. As he unveils new tracks from his forthcoming album, Better Man, let’s pack The Angel to its rafters and make it a night of energetic musical exchange.

Bask in the album’s positive and life-affirming melodies, meticulously crafted with the expertise of Mat Hector (Iggy Pop, Mark Almond, Tom Dolby) and Mark Neary (Bassist for Adele, engineer for Noel Gallagher & the Rolling Stones).

Adding a touch of Icelandic magic to the night will be guitarist Oddur Mar Runarsson from the band KUSK. Together, they’re keen on creating a space where every individual emerges with a heart full of life, reveling in the shared experience of music.

Supporting Acts:

  • Peter Hepworth: From strumming at The Royal Dorchester for HRH Princess Royal to captivating nightclubs in Chamonix, Peter’s journey since 2015 has been nothing short of inspirational. Although he took a step back from the limelight for some years, he’s been silently weaving musical tales. Having shared stages with Beth Orton, Bastille, Turin Brakes, and many others, Hepworth is now working with award-winning producer Gerry Diver on an eagerly awaited album.
  • Damien Flynn: A close confidante of HODD, Damien’s fingers dance on his guitar, producing melodies that touch souls. His voice, ranging from deep and powerful lows to mesmerizing highs, only adds to the allure of his heartfelt songs.

Let’s make it a night to remember at The Angel, Woodbridge – a sweat box of passion, love for music, and mutual admiration. Come, be a part of this beautiful chapter in HODD’s life and celebrate the magic of live music!

Entry: Absolutely FREE! But remember, The Angel boasts a cozy setting. So, if you’re keen on being part of this extraordinary evening, we recommend arriving early to secure your spot. We’re hoping to pack the place to the brim, and there’s a cheeky bet that we’ll have more than 40 passionate music lovers in attendance!

We’re honoured to collaborate with the Grassroots Suicide Prevention charity for this special night. For every attendee, we’ll contribute £1. And here’s a challenge: if the crowd surpasses 40, we’ll double our donation! While the funds are vital, this gesture is more about standing united against a growing concern in our community. It’s about solidarity, awareness, and hope.
