Sussex Downs Hiking Trail – 10KM 2026

Experience the breathtaking South Downs National Park with the Sussex Downs Trail Hike, a scenic walking and hiking challenge set in Mid-Sussex. Starting from the well-equipped Plumpton Racecourse, the event is easily accessible from Brighton, Haywards Heath, Lewes, Burgess Hill, and major routes including the A27 and A23.

With three route options 21k Half Marathon, 15k, and 10k this event caters to walkers and hikers of all levels. The route begins with a gently flattish 3.5km tree-lined section to warm up your legs before a rewarding climb to the South Downs Way, where you’ll be treated to spectacular vistas of the Sussex countryside, Seven Sisters Country Park, and even distant sea views.
