News and updates from Grassroots Suicide Prevention

The award-winning ‘Stay Alive’ suicide prevention app for smartphone and tablets is coming to Scandinavia, with a recent translation into Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish.

Grassroots has been selected from more than 370 organisations across the UK as one of 10 winners of the 2019 GSK IMPACT Awards for outstanding contributions to improving the UK’s health and wellbeing.

Research shows that 72% of people who die by suicide do not engage with traditional support services such as their GP or mental health services (1). So Grassroots are reaching out to the community to take action against suicide.

Hello lovely people and welcome to 2019 from Grassroots! We know that people approach the holiday period with all sorts of worries and that getting through this period can be tough.

The Stay Alive app is a free to download suicide prevention tool, designed to help people thinking about suicide and those concerned about someone else.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us and of course our heartfelt thanks to our Real Talk community for starting conversations that really do save lives. This one is for YOU.
Ethical debt purchaser and credit management firm 1st Credit is to partner suicide prevention charity Grassroots in 2018 in a bid to improve the experiences of vulnerable customers.

*** This crowdfunder closed on 14 October 2016 *** Grassroots would like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who raised awareness, backed this campaign and supported Grassroots.
